De Staalbaron specialises in the storage, processing and distribution of steel products. Within this industrial environment, optimal visibility, safety and energy efficiency are essential. Due to the large surfaces and varying occupancy rates, there was a need for a lighting solution that dynamically adapts to the actual use of the space.
The combination of Sirius Pro linear lighting and it Cosmo Control lighting management system provided the ideal solution for this. The individual light lines are controlled intelligently via a Bluetooth Mesh network, without any additional control cabling. This allowed various light lines to be easily divided into separate zones, which not only offers maximum flexibility, but also saves considerable installation costs.
Multiple sensors have been integrated within the installation that function independently per zone. As a result, lighting is provided only where and when it is needed, which has led to an additional energy saving of approximately 60%.
The applied gateway gives Staalbaron real-time insight into the complete lighting installation and enables remote management, monitoring and optimisation. In combination with the DTX Service from Deetronix, settings can be adjusted, performance can be analysed and remote support can be provided without physical intervention on site. This provides Staalbaron with a future-proof and fully manageable lighting system.
